I’ve decided to work with rivolis this year for the bead journal project.  My January one is from the book Creating Crystal Jewelry by Laura McCabe.  This is her crystal burst earrings.  I have worked this pattern before but only made one row of crystal bicones around the edge, this includes two rows.  This piece uses an 18mm rivoli, both 3mm and 4mm crystal bicones, plus delicas and size 15 seed beads and measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter.

  3. Maybe it’s my eyes but the picture is a bit blurry so I can’t make out the beads. However, I love the colour combinations and the flow of it. Well done!

  7. I will use this as a pendant, a Christmas ornament, or just something sparkly on my studio bulletin board.
The beads are a little difficult to make out because both the top layer of 3mm bicones and the back layer of 4mm bicones are the same color.
Yes, both the bicones and rivoli are Swarovski crystals.
